These are pressure mounted safety gates and hardware mounted safety gates. The first one listed can be good for areas that you don’t have the option for your baby to fall through the gate to. If you have stairs or someone that you really need to be secure and safe then you will want to go with a hardware mounted babe gate.

As far as the installation is concerned baby gates generally come with instructions, but you do need to know how wide the opening is where you plan to install the baby gate. You will also need to make sure you have the appropriate hardware so that your baby gates will be safe. Other than that just make sure you pay attention to the instruction and test the baby gates so that you know they will work. Child safety is very important so don’t forget that.
